Ceol Music Education

Ceol is the Irish word for “music”. The award-winning Ceol music education system extends from pre-school through primary school, focusing on musical fluency and teaching children the language of music: listening, reading and writing musically.

Some teachers are daunted by the prospect of teaching music, but with Ceol’s structured approach, teachers and students alike find music learning fun and engaging.

The Ceol programme is broken down into 8 stages for 8 different age ranges from 4-12.

Every Ceol stage is custom built for that age group and includes:

• Age-specific materials
• Lesson plans for a full school year
• Accompanying resource materials
• Musical tracks for listening & movement and songs & rhymes
• Every 6 weeks teacher watches training DVD to prepare for each module
